Project place’s ‘Todo’ app looking for new project managers and existing million users to register and use their new project management app.

What

Projectplace is a Sweden-based cloud collaboration and project management pioneer that launched in 1998. Its hugely popular Projectplace tool is used by thousands of SMEs globally, as well as big brands such as Carlsberg, Sony, Vodafone, BP and AEG. Projectplace has today close to 1 million users, collaborating on more than 140,000 projects globally.  The brief was to create something that would drive awareness of Projectplace’s new project management App/tool ‘Todo’ to sign up.

Why

ToDo is aimed at people who don’t see themselves as project managers in the traditional sense, but still have different projects and stakeholders to manage. The idea was to communicate to these new project managers in a language that could be clearly understood so that they would sign up and use the new tool. The ‘Todo’ app was looking to Increase registrations and peer sign-ups as well as Boost Projectplace’s brand as an innovator in intuitive, user-friendly collaboration and project management tools.

How

Peters-Fox created an animated character which created chaos in projects whereever he appeared. Chaos would typically enter into a scene and muddle up situations bringing chaos to  the project. Two animations were created which are also due to appear on a dedicated website where Chaos reigns. An element of humour in the visual and sound design helps the short film to engage in a funny way with the viewers. The UK is the primary market for the campaign, however it is to be replicated across the Nordics, France and Germany.
